Kiribati is currently reviewing its curriculum and teacher education programmes under the Kiribati Education Improvement Programme. The vision stated in the Kiribati national Curriculum and Assessment Framework is to ‘nurture [I-Kiribati] children and young people to become wise and worthwhile citizens able to adapt to, and participate in, their changing world’. The report also contains 38 recommendations to encourage further environmental progress in Ireland. This book is part of the OECD Environmental Performance Review Programme, whereby all OECD countries are engaged in reviewing each others’ progress in achieving their environmental policy objectives.
